Lousy NY was founded by two childhood friends from Harlem, New York. The name "Lousy" derives from "The Catcher in the Rye" as the main character, Holden uses the word over and over throughout the book. They also just liked the word "Lousy" and felt it wasn't used as much as it should be in everyday life. The goal is to create a brand that people of all walks of life can be excited about. The definition of lousy is very poor or bad; disgusting and the brand is anything but.
